Many of you have asked me to do more beauty posts. So here it is. Usually in the summer I don’t really like to wear too much makeup first of all, because it’s way too hot outstide and also because my skin gets dark really fast and therefore the type of makeup I use the rest of the year doesn’t suit me anymore. I’ll emphasize on my hair and do a little blush, mascara and concealer on my face and sometimes a lipstick or lipgloss. But that’s basically it.
I found the perfect blush for my tan, it’s called “Exhibit A” from Nars (buy here online) and it’s a very bright red but don’t be afraid, you won’t look like a clown. I read reviews about this blush and a makeup artist was saying that he found this blush amazing and that it actually suited all skin types. So give it a try if you get the chance and use a brush like mine. Make sure the hair is not too tight, when you apply such pigmented products make sure your brush’s hair is loose, it will be much easier to blend the color into your cheeks.
I like to keep the Bobbi Brown cream blush in “Rasberry”(buy here online). I apply it on my cheeks or on my lips at the end of the day when I need a little pop of color in the summer.
Obviously, you know my take on Elizabeth Arden’s Eight-Hour Cream (buy here online). It’s a fantastic multi-purpose product and an absolute summer essential. I suggest you get the fragrance-free kit for 26£ only or the regular one like mine here.
Many of you often ask me on instagram which nail polish I wear. I’m not very creative but I always alternate between this one from OPI “My Vampire is Buff” (buy here online – it’s almost sold out everywhere) and another one from OPI “Zurich Surprise” (similar to Chanel Rouge Noir).
For my hair, I bought this OJON oil that I applied every night on my dry ends before going to bed. This is not a “styling” oil. It’s more nourishing and will hydrate your hair. It’s quite similar to the Huile de Palme from Leonor Greyl (buy here online).
And last but not least, this is probably the product that I couldn’t have lived without. My beach hair spray from Phillip B (buy here online). I also like Bumble & Bumble but it makes my hair way too textured. This one leaves your hair soft and gives you that sea salt hair and bouncy waves. I strongly recommend it. Apply it after washing your hair on damp hair and you scrunch your hair.
This makes me think that perhaps I should do a hair tutorial… what do you think?
