Celebrity-endorsed products never fool me, but I’ve wanted to try Miranda Kerr’s organic skincare line “KORA” for a year now. I’ve read good and bad reviews that kept me undecided. Two weeks ago, (just before my birthday when I decided to adopt a healthier and organic lifestyle), I ordered five of these products online and give it a try. Mostly because I love Miranda Kerr and wanted to see what the fuss was all about.
I’ve started reading more about Miranda and her organic lifestyle and I even bought some Noni juice but found it absolutely repelling. When you think about it, we add so many chemicals onto our skin that I wanted to see if I could see the difference by using organic products. Some people have said that it made their skin breakout, while others have stated that it completely improved their skin complexion. Miranda said something very interesting “Remember: What you put on your skin – soaks in – use organic!” She’s absolutely right, and Dr. Junger from The Clean Program will also agree.
I always like to judge a product by trying it myself for a week or two, so you can make your own opinion. I bought the following products and will tell you in a minute my thoughts about them.
First of all, you can’t deny it, the Tiffany blue packaging is to die for and looks good. Now in terms of the product itself, it’s 100% organic. By that, it has a completely different texture and smell than most other products out there but it isn’t unpleasant at all.
The Luxurious Rosehip Body Oil is the best seller (buy here online); it’s supposed to be very nourishing for the skin and will prevent from stretch marks. It’s absolutely deal for women who are pregnant or on a weight loss program. I like to add a few drops to my bath; it makes my skin feel soft and hydrated. It contains essential fatty acids and it’s very rich in vitamin C and helps rejuvenate the skin. I absolutely fell in love with it.
The Enriched Body Lotion is absolutely divine. It’s a very different texture from regular moisturizers and it penetrates really quickly into the skin without leaving a greasy finish. Perfect for everyday use and especially if you use it in the morning and put on a pair of jeans you won’t feel it stick to your skin.
The Balancing Rose Face Mist is best suited for oily combination skins like mine. I used it everyday day and night after using the foaming cleanser and before the moisturizer. It’s the cherry on top. It gives your face that fresh, awakened feel. It reminded me a lot from the one from Claudalie, which I love and finished last month, so this one is a very good alternative. They also have an Energizing Citrus Face Mist for drier skin. These mists are known to bring a little boost and leave your skin supple with a dewy finish.
The Hydrating Day & Night Cream is one of my favorites. Just like the body moisturizer, it doesn’t leave an oily finish. I use it after the cleanser and mist, and add my bronzer on top. I love the feelings of having nothing on my skin and I was able to find that feeling again with this product.
The Foaming Cleanser is probably my least favorite because it doesn’t foam as much as I thought it would so I was a bit disappointed. Perhaps I should have bought the Cream Cleanser instead. But overall, it does the job. I suggest you use it with the Clarisonic cleansing brush. The two of them are a really good combo.
With all that being said, I was pleasantly surprised. I had no breakouts or side effects after using these products for two weeks (which is why I waited this long to write this review – I received the products on the 11th of August). I feel that my skin does look healthier but then again I was in the sun for a while and I still have a golden tan. On the other hand, the negative aspect is that the textures and smell are very “organic” and therefore might not appeal to everyone but for me it works and I would order more products in the future.
My next buy will probably be the Clay Purifying Mask to complete the collection as well as the Exfoliating Cream (for face & body). Another small detail that caught my attention was that all products are labeled with positive words such as: thoughtfulness, compassion and kindness. Every day, it reminds me to smile to the word and think positive.

Hope you enjoyed reading about this review and I’m curious to know how you feel about these products if you ever buy some.
If you’re not too keen on trying it on your face, I suggest you get this Revitalizing Body Pack where you’ll find a mix of some of the products mentioned above.
