As I mentioned before, I’m a huge fan of Bobbi Brown (watch the tutorials if you have time I found them very useful). It took me a while, but I finally found a brand that corresponds me and works on my type of skin and skin color. With olive skin like mine, it’s hard to find products that doesn’t make your complexion look grey, orange or pink. I’m fully aware that I need to prepare a beauty/make up post and walk you through all of them since I spent so much time and money in finding the right products. You know, I see it as an investment because now with my blog I need to have the right products that will compliment my look and therefore I’ll save time on the photoshop process (which I hate). I also want to give makeup artist Aline  at BonGenie in Geneva a shootout because thanks to her acute eye and advise we found the perfect products. So, if you’re around go ask her some advice and tell her you’re coming from me!

So with the holiday season, I thought I’d share my picks from Bobbi Brown‘s holiday collection (limited edition).

The Shimmer Brick Compact – 24 Karat

I got this one for myself and I wear it everyday, I put it on top of my “cranberry” blush (also from Bobbi Brown) and it catches the light on your cheekbones and gives your face a nice and healthy glow. I strongly recommend it. Sometimes small touches can make the difference and it can be used as an illuminator as mentioned or as a shimmery eye-shadow, and it will look even better on a sun-kissed skin! Definitely a must-have and will adapt to all skin colors.

The Super Pearl Trio Eyeshadow

I love the packaging and these colors look fantastic on brunettes. You can apply to lighter color in the inner corner of the eye to brighten your eyes. I’ve tried them on myself but I haven’t purchased them, but I’m now thinking of getting this set as I know I will regret later. All these products are limited editions.

The Rich Caviar Eye Palette

This eyeshadow quad is probably the best one I ever bought. No really. You can do so many things with it and lately I’ve been doing lots of kaki/brown smoky eyes and if you have brown eyes and/or dark hair, this is perfection. So in love with it. And on days where I feel like doing a “no makeup-makeup” look, I just put the “bone” eye shadow on my lids for a very subtle and natural-looking look.

The Travel Brush Set

One thing I’ve learned is that a perfect makeup can only be achieved with professional tools. And as much as I used to smudge my eye shadow with my fingers, it always gets messy. I’ve watched several tutorials on Youtube to learn how to use all these different brushes. I didn’t get this set because I’m already fully equipped by my Sigma professional brushes but I thought this could be a nice alternative for beginners.

The Pretty Powerful Book

If you want to learn everything about how to apply makeup, this is your bible. A nice gift for a friend, sister or for yourself. I promise it will come in handy in addition to the youtube videos on Bobbi Brown‘s Youtube channel.

Voila! Hope you’ll enjoy it and I would love to hear your feedbacks if you’re familiar with the brand or if you have purchased some of these products. Maybe we could exchange techniques or something! Have a nice weekend!

Oh, and for your information, this is NOT a sponsored post. I only talk about the brands and things that I dear to me on this blog. Just wanted to clear that out.
