The wait is over ladies… The much-anticipated Jimmy Choo store finally opened its doors two weeks ago on 30 Rue du Rhone in Geneva. On Saturday afternoon, I was cordially invited to the store opening, and for the occasion, champagne and macaroons. The lovely Choo girls walked me through the über-chic boudoir, feminine and elegant premises of Jimmy Choo’s new home. I came back earlier this week to snap some pictures and share with you this Choo-experience.

When I think of the Jimmy Choo brand, I think of my favorite strappy gold sandals that I splurged on during a trip to Barcelona with my girlfriends a while back, my favorite (fur-lined) biker boots that I purchased twice in 4 years – they are the best. In addition, when I think about these dreamy choo’s, images of Carrie Bradshaw from Sex & The City pop-up, and I can also clearly picture myself again waiting for hours  in the cold for the Jimmy Choo with H&M collaboration a few years ago when Tamara Mellon and Josh Schulman were still at the helm of the shoe empire. Nevertheless, I have to say that Sandra Choi and Simon Holloway, the new creative directors did a fantastic job at keeping the essence of Jimmy Choo alive. And the brand’s recent collaboration with artist Rob Pruiitt is absolutely adorable. Quirky and playful with touch of humor just like the video (take a look!). I’ll let the images speak for themselves… Until then, if you’re in town, you should definitely check out the new store in the flesh and maybe put the biker boots on your Christmas wish list.

I’m wearing my Isabel Marant leopard jacket (similar here, Donni Charm snug scarf, Rag & Bone navy leggings, Jimmy Choo boots (as seen below in grey suede) and studded star tote.

Thank you to the Jimmy Choo Geneva team for having me!
