The message in the bottle is to help and love…

Delicate pieces of jewelry for a cause. Gracelette NYC is a brand that has really moved me… I discovered it on Caratime last week I find it amazing that young talents like Grace share their passion along with their determination to help others. Sometimes we tend to forget how giving back is the best gift of all. Now when I wear my bracelet it’s a daily reminder…

S.B : Tell us a bit about yourself and how did you get started with Gracelette NYC ?

G. C : My name is Grace Cayre Chehebar. I’m 27 years old and live in NYC. During the day, I’m either volunteering with young children at various schools, running to Italian lessons, or working on my jewelry line. At night, I love to explore new hidden restaurants with friends and family and occasionally cook.

I started Gracelette NYC as an attempt to merge my passion for jewelry and my wanting to help others. I had already been volunteering at a soup kitchen here in NYC for about 12 years and I thought-how amazing would it be if I could help to make these dinners self-sufficient and funded week to week? And that’s how everything was born. I now have a jewelry line whose proceeds go straight to buy the food that feeds hundreds of homeless people each week…

S.B : What’s the meaning behind your brand ?  I love the packaging by the way…

G. C : I wanted my brand to be unique and meaningful. Aside from its charitable undertone, each new piece is packaged by hand (by me) with love. Beautiful presentation has always been important to me whether I’m buying olive oil or hand soap. I wanted the person who receives these bracelets to feel as though they have uncovered something special.

S.B : What are some of the projects you’re working on for the future?

G. C : At the moment, Im working on expanding the line to feature ring to wrists and much more-stay tuned!
